Abstract
Статтю присвячено актуальним проблемам лексикографічного опису українських прізвиськ. У тексті розвідки зосереджено увагу на здобутках української неофіційної антропонімії, обґрунтовано потребу в укладанні словників прізвиськ різних регіонів, подано короткий огляд словників прізвиськ, виданих в Україні, проаналізовано особливості побудови словникових статей таких антропонімів, запропоновано варіант опису та подано фрагменти лексикографічного опису прізвиськ жителів села Великі Дідушичі Стрийського району Львівської області.
Description
The article is devoted to the topical problems of lexicographic description of Ukrainian nicknames. The article focuses on the achievements of Ukrainian official anthroponymy, which are manifested in such fundamental linguistic works as dissertations and dictionaries of various types; the achievements of onomasts in unofficial anthroponymy are analyzed, including dissertations on the analysis of nicknames of certain regions, studies of such onymes of different social strata and settlements; the necessity of comprehensive collection of anthroponymic materials throughout Ukraine and compilation of dictionaries of nicknames of different regions is substantiated; dictionary descriptions of nicknames in three published lexicographical works are considered, the dictionary entry of which mainly contains a registered word with an accent mark, grammatical information (genitive singular, gender), conditional designations of the place of fixation (village, district, region) and the naming motive, and occasionally transcription. The purpose of such dictionaries is lexicography of anthroponymic dialectal linguistic units. A description option is proposed (nicknames in alphabetical order in the nominative case in capital letters and bold, transcription, italics, gender, number, ending of the genitive singular or plural (if plural)), or an indication of the unknown the type of unofficial anthroponym based on the motivation for its formation (individual, collective-group, kinship, family-generic or paired) and structure (single word, phrase or sentence), the appellative/onym from which the nickname originated, an indication of the method and means of formation the anthroponym, lexical meaning of the appealing motivational basis and the motive of naming) and listed twenty-seven dictionary entries of lexicographic description of nicknames of the Naddnistrian dialect of the inhabitants of Velyki Didushychi village, Stryi district, Lviv region.
